About the role
Senior Technical Writer
Responsibilities
- Author, review, revise, and maintain complex technical documentation across the full system lifecycle, including:
- Software and systems engineering documentation
- Operations concepts and procedures
- User guides, manuals, and training materials
- System testing, installation, configuration, and “how‑to” documentation
- Produce implementation guides, end‑user documentation, and code documentation for software capabilities
- Research and synthesize highly technical subject matter from multiple sources and translate it into clear, audience‑appropriate written content
- Interpret and document engineering drawings, maintenance procedures, and operational workflows
- Develop documentation for cryptologic programs and analytic tradecraft methodologies
- Apply and enforce documentation standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide expert-level review and oversight of documentation produced by others
- Lead or coordinate documentation efforts for large or complex projects as required
- Maintain internal documentation libraries and version control
- Prepare reports, briefings, and written responses for technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Compensation
Posted Annualized Salary: $100,000 – $135,000
