Release Engineer (TS/SCI with a CI Poly)

Qualifications

  • Possess at least four years of experience serving as a Release Engineer supporting software development efforts in a cleared environment.

  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute software releases while managing deployment schedules across development, test, staging, and production environments.

  • Collaborate effectively with software developers, testers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and program stakeholders to ensure successful releases while minimizing operational risk.

  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release automation, configuration management, version control, and DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Troubleshoot deployment issues, coordinate release activities, and identify opportunities to improve the overall software delivery process.

  • Demonstrate experience using industry-standard release and DevOps tools, including Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or similar release automation platforms.

  • Possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

  • Hold a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred).

  • Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or release management are preferred.

  • Support software development and release activities on federal government or Intelligence Community (IC) programs is highly.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Agile software development, DevSecOps, secure software development practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  • Apply experience with technologies such as Spring Boot, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jira, and Confluence.

  • Coordinate software releases across multiple development teams while managing software baselines and configuration changes.

  • Validate software deployments, develop rollback strategies, and resolve release-related issues in fast-paced development environments.

  • Identify process improvements and contribute to the maturation of release management practices.

  • Communicate effectively with technical teams and government stakeholders while balancing multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to delivering successful releases.
