About the role
Tensley Consulting is seeking a skilled TEMPEST Engineer to support mission-critical security efforts by performing TEMPEST testing and providing engineering recommendations to safeguard national systems. This role involves working onsite with the customer, embedded within their team to ensure mission success and compliance with National TEMPEST standards.
education/experience
Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II) (Required)
Responsibilities
Ensure TEMPEST testing requirements are defined and approved by the Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) Evaluate Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) packages to assess impact on TEMPEST integrity Recommend and coordinate additional TEMPEST testing for recertification when required Attend and contribute to technical meetings with: Crypto device users Customers CSCMs Vendor partners Conduct TEMPEST lab testing of certified cryptographic devices in accordance with National TEMPEST standards Perform TEMPEST field testing to identify vulnerabilities in secure systems Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for TEMPEST-related vulnerabilities in cryptographic devices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in:
- TEMPEST testing
- TEMPEST manufacturing
- OR related TEMPEST engineering activities
- Strong understanding of:
- Cryptographic systems
- RF/security principles
- Secure system vulnerabilities
Desired Skills
- Military or Intelligence Community (IC) experience in: RF engineering TEMPEST-related disciplines Secure communications systems

Compensation
Posted Annualized Salary: $165,000 – $185,000
