About the role
Tensley Consulting is seeking a System Engineer to support mission systems engineering activities across complex enterprise and classified environments. The System Engineer provides technical expertise supporting system architecture development, requirements analysis, system integration, and lifecycle engineering activities across mission-critical systems. This role works closely with government stakeholders, developers, and engineering teams to translate operational requirements into technical solutions that support secure, scalable, and reliable system capabilities. The System Engineer supports the full system lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities while ensuring systems meet government mission objectives and technical standards. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Fourteen (14) years of experience as a System Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional system engineering experience may be substituted in place of the degree.

Experience supporting systems engineering activities across the system development lifecycle Experience analyzing user requirements, concepts of operation, and system architectures to develop system requirements Experience supporting system architecture development and system design documentation Experience supporting system integration, verification, and validation activities Experience supporting system engineering documentation including system engineering plans, requirements specifications, and interface control documents Experience translating operational or mission requirements into technical system solutions Experience supporting configuration management and change control processes Experience supporting integrated product teams and cross-disciplinary engineering efforts Experience performing system analysis, design trade studies, and technical assessments Experience collaborating with engineering teams, developers, and government stakeholders

Compensation
Posted Annualized Salary: $190,000 – $220,000
