Senior Linux PAM Engineer

Responsibilities

  • The System Engineer shall serve as the technical lead for the planning, deploying, and documenting the Delinea Tools Suite across the organization’s Linux environments.
  • This role is responsible for translating security and operational requirements into effective privileged access and secrets management solutions.
  • The System Engineer shall design deployment strategies, ensure alignment with the mission’s architecture, and maintain comprehensive documentation to support sustainment, audits, and future expansion.
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Suite of Tools
  • Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python to automate manual processes
  • Experience performing basic System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux environment
  • Strong Linux systems engineering background (e.g., RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Hands-on experience planning or deploying at least one Delinea product (Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault, or related tools)
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate documentation for architecture, configuration, and operational processes
  • Familiar with identity and access management concepts, PAM solutions, least-privilege principles, and secure configuration guidelines
  • Familiar with integrating Linux systems with authentication and directory services (LDAP, Active Directory, FreeIPA)
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to enterprise systems, authentication pipelines, and service-level troubleshooting
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
  • Familiar with API-driven integrations and secrets management in CI/CD workflows
  • Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and associated secret‑handling patterns
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in cybersecurity engineering roles or working within compliance-driven environments (STIGs, NIST, ISO, etc.)

Compensation

Posted Annualized Salary: $250,000 – $260,000
