About the role

The Cyber Instructor – Data Exploiter (DE) will support the Cyber Schoolhouse creating content, scenarios, hands on practical exercises, workshops, as well as in classroom instruction in support of Data Exploitation requirements. The DE instructor will work closely with Instructional Systems Designers (ISD) for content review and updates. The DE instructor will work with students to become familiar with basic data exploitation, large dataset triage, and extracting relevant data and understanding it’s usefulness. The DE instructor will assess students learning status, provide feedback, and act as a mentor for new or junior exploitation staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience of data exploitation to include file analysis, triage of large data sets, analysis of databases, working with unstructured data, and analysis of forensic data from multiple file systems to extract target CTI data.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a STEM field (OR) A minimum of Four (4) additional years of full-time work experience (for a total of 9 years) in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline shall be considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience using command line utilities with the ability to run and modify scripts in Python, PowerShell, BASH, etc. and using command line and script modification experience to support Cyber operations, targeting, and analysis.
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience in technical analysis, digital forensics, technical targeting or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with data visualization tools such as Excel, Splunk, Tableau, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, including expressing facts and complex technical ideas clearly, concisely, and accurately to a diverse audience
  • An Adult Learning Certificate from Association for Talent Development, or an equivalent as approved by the government customer is required at the time of on-boarding
  • A current TS/SCI with Poly level clearance is a must.

Desired Skills

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience conducting investigations of cyber-attack and computer security incidents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cyber security, computer network vulnerabilities, and computer network
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in course delivery and instructing to include preparation of technical training courses using multiple methods of learning to include, but not limited to lecture, facilitated discussion, hands-on/experiential/scenario, CBT.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in developing and conducting training or education of personnel within cyber domain.
  • Demonstrated experience designing lessons and crafting lesson plans and/or instructor guides incorporating adult learning principles and all essential elements for instruction.
  • Minimum three (3) years of Sponsor specific cyber operational experience

Posted Annualized Salary: $185,000 – $200,000
