About the role
PLEX Solutions, LLC is seeking a Cellular Systems Test Engineer with expertise in cellular and embedded systems development environments. This role requires a self-motivated learner working individually and as part of a team to design and run tests, integrate hardware, and write scripts and software. Knowledge of and/or ability to rapidly learn wireless communications, protocols, exploits, and vulnerabilities will be critical. PLEX is a proud EOE Employer, including disability/vets.
Position Overview: Test cellular systems including
- Authoring test plans
- Execute tests
- Document test results
- Make engineering recommendations based on test results Integrate hardware components with cellular systems Write software for ARM architectures in C, C++, Rust, Python, or JavaScript Contribute to secure system design and implementation
Qualifications
Knowledge of cellular systems, including:
- Generational technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G)
- Standards (e.g., GSM, UMTS, CDMA2000, LTE, WiMAX, 5G NR, encryption)
- Cellular identity (e.g., SIM/e-SIM) architectures Ten (10) years’ experience in software/firmware design, development, or testing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university. An appropriate Master's degree may be substituted for 2 of the required years of experience. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph SALARY RANGE: $90k - $240k Salary offered will depend on numerous qualifying factors such as clearance, degree and the years and depth of applicable experience.
