Experience required
- Bachelor's: 14+ years
About the role
AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED In this role, you won't just write code—you will develop, maintain, and enhance diverse, complex software systems. From processing-intensive analytics and novel algorithm development to manipulating extremely large data sets, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn documented requirements into high-performing systems.
- Design & Develop: Architect, code, and modify new software features or enhance existing systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict outcomes.
- Problem Solve & Debug: Investigate problem areas, debug existing systems, correct software defects, and resolve problem reports efficiently.
- Analyze & Synthesize: Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specs, translating system-level requirements down to individual components.
- Integrate & Optimize: Integrate software into new operating environments, implement complex database interfaces, and design algorithms with strict timing and resource constraints.
- Lead & Collaborate: Serve as a technical team lead when needed, coordinate software installations, monitor equipment functioning, and confer with systems/hardware engineers to map out limitations and capabilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations to elevate documentation and software development process standards across the team. The annual base salary range for this role is $182,000-$215,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in designing, coding, debugging, and testing complex software systems.
- Core Languages: Hands-on development experience using Python and Kotlin/Java.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Proven experience with AWS cloud environments, including application deployment, S3, and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Data & Analytics: Solid experience working with ElasticSearch and OpenSearch for data manipulation and analytics.
- Experience developing software solutions for processing-intensive analytics or real-time systems.
- Proven ability to analyze systems flow, data usage, work processes, and user requirements to derive technical designs.
- Experience designing and implementing complex database or data repository interfaces and queries.
- Skilled in algorithm development, including optimizing for strict system resource, timing, or interface constraints. Education: Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
