Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary range for this role is **$164,000 - $195,000 **(USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Fully-Cleared with Poly (TS/SCI with Polygraph).
- **Compliance Certification: **Active DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I baseline certification is mandatory (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, or GSLC).
- Full-Stack Development: Proven professional work experience developing web services using one or more modern languages and frameworks (such as JavaScript, Vue.js, React, HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, or .NET C#).
- Linux Systems Engineering: Strong background deploying and operating software on Linux, including service configuration, log analysis, basic networking, and system automation.
- API Architecture & Security: Solid understanding of API design, secure coding practices, and core authentication/authorization frameworks.
- Database Management: Working knowledge of relational databases combined with a practical command of performance basics like indexing and query tuning.
- Agile Feature Delivery: Ability to refine complex stakeholder requirements, estimate technical effort, and deliver features iteratively with minimal supervision.
Education & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of professional software engineering (SWE) experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- **Education: **Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Substitution: Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree (totaling 11 years of experience).
Desired Skills
- Cloud Engineering: Hands-on experience building and maintaining infrastructure inside AWS (specifically IAM, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch) or Azure equivalents.
- **Web Server Tuning: **Practical experience managing web and application server configurations, specifically Nginx, Apache, and/or Tomcat.
- **DevOps Automation: **Scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell along with foundational familiarity building CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Production Operations: Background supporting critical production environments and participating in structured on-call or incident response activities.
- Peer Leadership: Active participation in code reviews and an interest in championing high-quality software maintenance standards.
