Step to the front lines of cyber defense in a high-visibility, mission-critical malware analysis program! We are looking for a Mid-Level Malware Frameworks Engineer who shares our drive to push boundaries and transform complex technical requirements into scalable backend realities. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of innovative engineers to develop robust backend capabilities and modernize backend processing services. This role has a heavy focus on building high-performance Java applications and RESTful APIs, orchestrating microservices in Kubernetes, and engineering reliable event-driven data systems using JMX Messaging brokers like ActiveMQ and RabbitMQ.

** Compensation & Benefits **

The annual base salary range for this role is $127,000 - $150,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Qualifications

  • Clearance: Active Fully-Cleared with Poly
  • Core Java Development: Strong foundation in backend Java application engineering and RESTful API architecture (no frontend required).
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to multitask, problem-solve under pressure, and pivot to different technical tasks quickly.
  • Development Environments: Hands-on experience developing with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE.
  • Tools & Workflow: Robust version control with Git and active task management within an Agile lifecycle using Atlassian tools.

** Education & Experience **

  • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Substitution: Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree (totaling 11 years of experience).

Desired Skills

  • Experience developing with Kotlin and Python.
  • Framework knowledge spanning Spring or Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with database solutions like MongoDB.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes orchestration and containerization.
  • Hands-on knowledge of enterprise data routing and message brokers like Apache NiFi and RabbitMQ.
