About the role
The System Engineer analyzes user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. This role analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. The System Engineer guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
Responsibilities
- They provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology while incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
- Responsibilities also include developing technical documentation, including system architecture and system design documentation.
- The System Engineer guides system development and implementation planning through the assessment and preparation of system engineering management plans, system integration plans, and test plans.
- They interact with the customer regarding systems engineering technical considerations and resolve associated problems, issues, and conflicts.
- This position has the ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
- The System Engineer also communicates effectively with program personnel, stakeholders, and senior executives.
Qualifications
- Strong systems engineering background and experience.
- Experience with AWS/cloud environments, dashboard fundamentals, metrics, DoDAF diagrams, requirements development, and technical documentation.
- Basic scripting experience is desired but not required.
- IAT Level II Certification required by the start date.
- At least twenty (20) years of relevant experience.
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required. Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree, for a total of twenty-five (25) years of experience.
Compensation
Posted Annualized Salary: $220,000 – $250,000
